It looks like our February 2006 pick VA Software (LNUX) got some love from an article by Fortune senior editor David Kirkpatrick. Check out his article here.

In other news, Pfizer (PFE) said that it is contemplating either selling or spinning off its consumer products business which includes brands such as Listerine, Lubriderm and Visine as discussed in our January edition of SINLetter. This announcement lead to a 5.7% jump in the stock price last Wednesday as various analysts expect the division to sell for $3.8 billion or more. Pfizer has slowly drifted lower since then after announcing that it expects to see slightly lower to flat 2006 earnings of $2 per share. While I would no longer accumulate more shares of Pfizer, its nice dividend yield and the potential profits from the sale of its consumer division have convinced me to continue holding the stock for the short term.
