Interesting post. Why is it running a huge deferred tax item in the cash flow statement?

Good question PC. At first glace, I thought it had something to do with deferred revenues related to subscription games like World of Warcraft (WOW) but that is already included under current liabilities.

Looking at the balance sheet on the latest 10-Q filed with the SEC, it appears that there is a deferred income tax line on the assets side just like there is a line under liabilities. The deferred income tax (assets) is $727 million for the latest quarter, while the deferred income tax (liabilities) is $685 million.

I wonder if it has something to do with France's Vivendi owning a majority stake in Activision.
